Chu Fude, one of the founders of Tongshan Pharmaceutical Factory in Dongtou County, passed away on January 9th in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. In order to commemorate the glorious life of veteran soldier Chu Fude, Chairman Yan Yiyi brought the condolences of all the "Cheng Yi people" to Suzhou to express warm condolences to Chu's family.
On June 21, 2015, Yan Yiyi visited Chu Fude (middle) and Chai Shuhua at the Suzhou Military Division Rest Center
Comrade Chu Fude was born in January 1934 in Zibo, Shandong. He joined the army in August 1947 and joined the CPC in June 1949. He used to be the director of the battalion health center, the captain of the regiment health team, and the president of Wenzhou Military Sub district Hospital. After leaving the island, he served as the director of the 74th Division Hospital of the Taizhou Army, the director of the 124th Hospital, and the consultant of the 100th Hospital. In 1994, he retired from his position as a division commander and enjoyed the rank of deputy military officer. I participated in battles such as Jinan, Huaihai, Crossing the Yangtze River, and suppressing bandits during the War of Liberation, and won third class honors three times in the Huaihai Campaign.
During his time working in the regimental health team in 1970, Chu Fude (first from left) was with his comrades in arms. The first on the right is Hu Zhiqun, one of the other founders
In 1955, at the age of 21, Chu Fude arrived in Dongtou with the army and was sent to study at the Medical Department of Shanghai Second Military Medical University. After graduation, he returned to Dongtou and served as the chief medical officer of the regimental health team. At the end of 1969, he took over as the health captain. It was at this time that he led a group of military doctors and founded the earliest pharmaceutical factory in the military system of Zhejiang Province - Tongshan Pharmaceutical Factory, guided by the guiding ideology of "preparing for war, preparing for famine, and serving the people". It was not until April 1975, when he was transferred to the 74th Division Hospital in Taizhou, Jiangsu with the troops as the director, that he left his second hometown, Dongtou Island, Zhejiang, which had been dedicated for 19 years.
Comrade Chu Fude dedicated his life to the medical and health industry. His eldest son, Chu Zhaohong, who is engaged in disease prevention and control in Suzhou, told us that his father, as a military doctor, has a very indifferent view of life and death. When he was alive, he wrote a will, paying special attention to "keeping everything simple for funerals, not holding memorial meetings, not setting up a mourning hall, not bidding farewell to the body, donating the body free of charge, notifying the" Red Society "by phone, bringing the body to medical school, and the funeral is considered over
One hour after the death of Comrade Chu Fude, in order to contribute to the cornea as soon as possible, the Suzhou Red Cross Society sent a car to pick up the body. The military doctor Chu Fude fulfilled his good wish of "dedicating his life to the society".
Green mountains grow here, and the sea flows long. The glorious virtues of revolutionary veterans such as military doctor Chu Fude will always be a learning example for "Cheng Yi people", "diligent, rigorous, innovative, and dedicated"!
