It is understood that since the production of ribavirin drugs by Cheng Yi Pharmaceutical in Wuhan on January 27th, every person entering the company must comply with the requirements of "six necessary inspections, three level temperature measurement, independent prevention and control, and seven inquiries". Inspectors strictly and carefully review each person to ensure that no one is missed or left a blind spot.
It is understood that the company has independently developed a thermal light house to provide comprehensive disinfection for employees. "Considering that COVID-19 is not resistant to high temperature, we spent three days to build this hot light room urgently. The building materials are locally sourced, and the disinfection and sterilization effect is very good." Zhao Chunjian, general manager of Cheng Yi Pharmaceutical, said that when entering the hot light room, the staff used arm pull or shoulder push when opening and closing the door. This is to ensure hand cleanliness and avoid touching easily infected areas such as door handles. After 2 to 5 minutes of steaming in a 65 ℃ hot light room, further disinfection of glasses, mouth, and hands can be carried out. For this reason, the company has configured different disinfection water for different parts, such as oral disinfection, which uses 75% ethanol and 2.6% ribavirin. The company also provides dedicated mouthwash for each employee.
During the Spring Festival, Cheng Yi Pharmaceutical urgently resumed work and arranged for the production of antiviral drugs, including injections and capsules, mainly 5ml of ribavirin injection. Currently, Cheng Yi Pharmaceutical has produced over 2 million units of 5ml ribavirin injection, completing the production task in February ahead of schedule. At the same time, the company also donated 1 million yuan of anti epidemic materials to the Charity Federation of Zhejiang Province, including 600000 yuan in cash and 400000 yuan of ribavirin injection, a diagnosis and treatment drug for novel coronavirus. It is worth mentioning that ribavirin has been included in the antiviral treatment part of the fifth national version of COVID-19 diagnosis and treatment program.
